‘Humility gives us the ability to learn – it makes us teachable.’ (J.Maxwell) Have you ever tried to teach someone and it became obvious they didn’t want to learn? How frustrated does that make you feel? I know that it’s easy for me to think I already “know it all” and don’t need to learn from others, and that’s when I get in trouble (especially with my family). So I try to keep reminding myself I still don’t know everything, I still need to learn from others. That spirit of humility allows us to acknowledge the gap we have in our understanding, and that’s when the learning can happen. A question for yourself: How teachable are you?
