Better: Leadership Idea #80

Sometimes we focus so much on “the best” that we don’t allow any time to work on what’s better than the current situation we’re in, or the process we use. A wise manager once told me that I shouldn’t wait until I have the perfect, or best, solution, I need to start with something that’s better than what I have now. Sometimes it’s better to focus on what is working and try to improve that instead of focusing on what’s broken, as the broken parts can be difficult and time-consuming. What aspect of yourself or your environment will you work on today to make it better?
