Have you ever heard the saying “Don’t curse the darkness, light a candle”? That’s because darkness cannot exist wherever there is light. As a believer, I know I have the true source of light in a sometimes dark world (as I read the news and see things happening). And as a believer, I know that I am called to also be a light in my corner of the world, in my own community, and in my circle of influence. So if I want to be a true light in my world, I need to draw from the only true source – and that is Jesus. I know that as long as I follow Him, darkness cannot win. (John 8:12)
