One nice aspect of Australian beaches is that there are lifeguards stationed there to save people when they get in trouble and are in danger of drowning. I’m sure every person saved from drowning is grateful for their salvation from death. As a believer, I know that eternal separation from God is what I deserve, however I’m immensely thankful for my salvation from that awful state, only possible because of the gift of Life offered to all of us through Jesus. Eternal salvation is only found through Jesus, it’s not anything that I can do to earn it, even if I try really hard. (Acts 4:11-12)
