What is your true identity and what is it based on? If you think you’re generally a good person – unfortunately we’re told in Scripture that our hearts are deceitful and beyond cure. Ouch! So what does that mean, are we stuck being deceived by our own hearts and thoughts? Thankfully it doesn’t need to be that way. As believers in the salvation that we can receive through Jesus, and only Him, we now have the same way of thinking that He has, and our hearts have been renewed and changed so that we can live a truly righteous life. And that is my identity. (Jeremiah 17:9, 1 Corinthians 2:16)
