• Difficult: Idea #274

Continuing my thoughts on prioritizing the meaningful. Many times the meaningful is harder than the urgent. ‘Difficult and meaningful will always bring more satisfaction than easy and meaningless.’ (M.Legace) I confess that I don’t always like the difficult, sometimes it’s actually quite scarey. ‘Being brave isn’t the absence of fear. Being brave is having that fear but finding a way through it.’ (B.Grylis) So I want to work on not being afraid of the difficult, instead focus on pushing through. What fear will you push through today?

  • Meaningful: Idea #273

We often find ourselves with limited time to engage in an activity. How do we make that choice? ‘Choose the meaningful over the urgent. The things that are meaningful are timeless and will matter not only now but in the future. Ask yourself with each decision, Is this Meaningful or is it a false urgency?’ (J.Maxwell) The concept is simple, the application is more challenging. It’s so easy to yield to the urgent rather than tackle the important and meaningful. Join me in determining to always put the meaningful in first place.

  • Gratitude: Idea #272

Too many times I take good things for granted. We need to ‘Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.’ (R.W.Emerson) If you need some ideas on where to start with your gratitude, let me start by saying ‘When I was thinking of you, I realized all the positive influences you have had in my life, thank you.’ (B.Rivers) Thank you for joining me in my growth journey! How many things can you think of right now that you’re grateful for?
