Here we are in the second half of 2023 already, and the year has just started, or so it seems. When I look back over the past 6 months I’m tempted to question myself as to what I’ve actually achieved. ‘The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.’ (M.Altshuler) The reality is that we all have a choice on what we spend our time each day, so are we making good choices? ‘Today is your opportunity to build the tomorrow you want.’ (K.Poirot) My suggestion is to not focus too much on the entire year, focus on today, on this minute – how am I using my time, what is important and what am I focusing on? This focus will take you to your destination.

Identity: Idea #228
Who are you? Has anyone ever asked you that question? ‘Sometimes what we do can become who we are. When this is the case, and we stop doing that particular thing, it can lead to an identity crisis. What we do should be a part of our identity but not who we are. Is your identity wrapped up in what you do? If so, focus on adding value to other people. This can help you shift the foundation of your identity from what you do to who you serve.’ (J.Maxwell) In this current economic climate with lots of change happening, it’s important to REALLY know who we are, so don’t let your work be the sole definition of who you are.
