• Friend: Idea #53

Have you ever found yourself feeling “all alone”? Have you ever wished for someone to help you get to the next level in your success? As you think about what you are able to achieve on your own, ‘now imagine you have other like-minded individuals that can enhance your thinking and abilities….when you collaborate you go further and faster than doing it alone.’ (J.Maxwell) There’s this idea that you become like the five people you most associate with. Who do you have around you today? Are they able to help you achieve your goals, or do you need to find new friends?

  • Communicate: Idea #52

How well do you communicate? ‘Much of your success in life is going to come from your ability to communicate well with other people.’ (B.Tracey) Would you like to improve your communications? Start with ‘clarity…Almost all our problems in life come because of lack of clarity. We say things but they don’t come out clearly….rephrase it and say it again….Effective communication starts with being clear in your own mind about what you want to say.’ (B.Tracy) To ensure you’ve communicated clearly, ask the person to respond back with what they’ve understood, and if not quite correct, repeat the above. Hopefully this communication has come across with clarity.

  • To-do List: Idea #51

Do you use a “to-do list”? I try to use one wisely, however it doesn’t always work perfectly. If you’re not using such a list, why should you try it? And what are the options if this method isn’t so great for you? ‘For me–and for many people–making a to-do list is an invaluable tool for productivity….If to-do lists aren’t useful for you, consider these variations: A to-don’t list:…Listing the things you don’t want to do….can help you stay on track….A power hour:…Things that can be done at any time are often done at no time….do a “power hour” where (you) tackle the list of tedious or unattractive tasks that (you’ve) been avoiding.’ (G.Rubin) Full article: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/make-to-do-lists-work-you-gretchen-rubin/
