• Competition: Idea #410

As a person that is on the path to growth and development, it pays to be careful to grow correctly, to not focus on self. ‘There are two kinds of people; those who do the work and those who take the credit. Try to be in the first group; there is less competition there.’ (I.Gandhi) This is an incredible idea, to compete in an area less crowded. Join me in excelling in the group that does the work, that just gets stuff done. As we do that, the credit will naturally flow, we don’t need to fight for it.That’s a sign of true growth as an individual.

  • Time: Idea #409

Do you ever feel like you don’t have enough time? ‘I have learned that whenever I think “I don’t have enough time to do that” what I usually mean is “I don’t have enough energy” or “I am not actually interested in doing this”. What I need to do a better job of is not managing my time, but rather caring for myself and identifying my true interests. When I am well rested and working on something I am genuinely excited about, finding time is rarely a problem.’ (J.Clear) OK, let’s go take care of ourselves and regain our excitement as we grow and improve.

  • Dysfunction: Idea #408

Here’s some food for thought: ‘Everyone has some dysfunction in their life. When you allow another person to walk into your life and help you become aware of a dysfunction, it helps you overcome it. Others can show us our dysfunction – our blind spots. We need to be open to learn, listen, and understand instead of becoming defensive. We all have personal hurdles to overcome, but we can improve and change. Don’t let the ‘dys’ in ‘dysfunction’ keep you from functioning effectively.’ (J.Maxwell) I believe we all want to function better, so let’s open up ourselves to others.
