• Constructive Criticism: Idea #298

Raise your hand if you enjoy getting feedback, especially difficult feedback? However good feedback is very important. ‘If you correct someone with constructive criticism, in the end he will appreciate it more than flattery.’ (P) If a person is really interested in growing, feedback or constructive criticism is welcomed as a tool to help in growth. Remember though, it must be given by someone who’s also working on growth, because ‘A non-doer is very often a critic – that is someone who sits back and watches doers and then waxes philosophically about how the doers are doing. It’s easy to be a critic, but being a doer requires effort, risk, and change.’ (W.Dyer) Be a doer, not a critic.

  • Decisive: Idea #297

Have you ever found yourself vacillating between options when you need to make a decision? ‘A decisive person takes action, and a person who acts does very well. Action is where success is. Try to make a decision today that you have been procrastinating. This is your day!’ (J.Maxwell) ‘Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision with action can change the world.’ (J.A.Barker) So today, don’t delay – go ahead and make that decision and take some actions. You’ll be happy with the growth from this choice.

  • Losses: Idea #296

‘3 vital things that allow us to learn from our losses: setbacks, adversity, and responsibility. If we have the right mindset, a setback can be a set up. When you lose ground, you can set yourself up to not only regain that ground, but go higher. We all experience adversity, and through our adversity we can learn to overcome challenges. It is important to take responsibility in life, no matter where you are.’ (J.Maxwell) What losses have you experienced recently that you can take in hand to go higher than before, and find yourself in an even better place?
