Work Ethic: Idea #121

One of the lessons taught to me by my parents was the value of a strong work ethic. Not being a workaholic, just working hard and working well. Laziness was never an option in our family, we all needed to contribute (if not, there would have been discontent within the siblings). It’s the same with the people we work with, our teams, our stakeholders, our supporting teams – we all need to contribute diligently and work hard together to achieve the outcomes we want. It’s so easy to think a job or task “belongs” to someone else, however, if we are ready to pick up work that might otherwise “fall through the cracks”, we will find ourselves in a position of successful achievement that is truly rewarding.
