Trust #4: Leadership Idea #29

As mentioned previously, trust can be violated. So how can it be restored? It starts with honest conversations that may be a little difficult. Then, as a leader setting the example, we begin by extending small amounts of trust to the other person. As that trust extension stabilizes, more trust can be extended bit by bit, until the full level of trust is built up again. It takes time and courage to do this, and if violated again it may not be possible to restore anymore – situations are always different. From my perspective, a life without trust is a paranoid life without joy, without good relationships, so join me today in growing trust.
