As a leader have you ever compared yourself with people in a circus? There are more similarities than you might think. There’s the ringmaster that keeps people engaged, and keeps the show on track – like a leader. Then there’s the jugglers juggling all types of items, and the acrobats demonstrating agility, balance, and the need to work with others – like a leader. Then there are animal trainers managing large animals – like a leader managing large groups. What do we learn from this? That just like a circus is incomplete without all of the roles, so a leader needs to develop multiple skills in order to be a good leader.
