Contingency: Leadership Idea #40

We’d all like things to go perfectly smoothly wouldn’t we, but – it seldom does. So what’s the plan when a colleague doesn’t show up, a task isn’t completed on time or correctly? What if our personal plans don’t work out, and we lose our jobs or our investments have a negative payback? Do we have a contingency plan? This is an area of growth for me, making sure I have contingency plans for all the important stuff in my life. I need a plan B, a plan C, maybe even a plan Z. Contingency planning means we take enough time to think about the future, not worry, but prepared. More on preparation later.
