I really dislike when others make excuses for not doing something they should have done, or doing what shouldn’t be done. But you know, I’m afraid that at times I’m also all too guilty of doing the same. It’s so easy to justify what we do or don’t do because of circumstances, situations, and reasons that sound good to our ears. And then we turn around and judge others for similar actions. God tells us we have no excuse for making excuses, because we will be judged by how we judge others. Yes, too often we fail, and make mistakes, but let’s not try to justify our shortcomings – those excuses are not acceptable. (Romans 2:1-3)
