Too often we only hear about the benefits of being a part of God’s family, a follower of Jesus. However, we should also take into consideration the cost we need to be willing to pay. Yes, Jesus paid the heavenly cost that allows us to have that close relationship directly with Him, however that doesn’t negate the fact that there is a cost for us to consider. Our cost is not to pay for the relationship, it’s a cost that demonstrates which Kingdom we belong to, who our Master is, and how much are we determined to be like Him in how we live. When we live like that, there will be opposition, so be prepared. (Matthew 16:24-26)
