I’ve been reading about what it takes to have a great company, and I believe the same principles apply to having a great team. One important factor is having a good mission – something big that you want to accomplish. Without a mission for yourself and your team (or your teammates), you may not all be working towards the same goal. Everyone might achieve something worthwhile, but it won’t be enormous, huge, significant – because there was no synergy between people. When you as a leader know what your mission is, you can apply the right actions to ensure a successful outcome. What’s your mission this year?
