Hospitality: God Idea #68

When I reflect on my childhood, perhaps when I was in my teens, I realize my parents were great at showing hospitality to my group of friends. Everyone was alway welcome at our home, and many a time we had groups of youth hanging out just because they were welcomed. I feel like we’ve been losing the gift of hospitality as the world has gotten smaller, and we no longer tend to live in close communities. We find ourselves so busy with activities that it’s hard to set aside our time to just spend time with others, sharing around a table of good food, encouraging each other. (1 Peter 4:8-10)
