Sometimes I worry that my life is too easy, and yet I don’t want to suffer hardships. I have also been made aware that when believer face persecution, they also learn how to depend more on God rather than on themselves. I’m afraid that all to often we’ve become spiritually self-sufficient, and so we don’t allow God to work in the supernatural, and I believe that weakens our faith. So what to do? Well, I know I want to see God at work in my life and my environment, so I suppose I need to be asking for strength to endure any hardship or persecution that comes my way. (2 Timothy 3:10-13)
