As believers we know we are the children of God, but do we know that we’re also His friends? And what does it mean to be a friend of Jesus? Think about your local friends, what do you expect from them? How do you share with them? Jesus expects friends to put others first, even to the point of giving our lives for them. Are we prepared to give our lives for our Lord? Are we prepared to be friendly to the unlovable and difficult people we meet? Are we faithful in encouraging each other as friends should do? The challenge for us all is to be a true friend, at all times. (John 15:14-16)
