We hear about the need to network as leaders, yet so often it sounds difficult, scary, and risky. So if we examine exactly what networking is all about, I see it as developing good relationships with people that you can help today, and perhaps they can help you tomorrow if the need comes up. If you understand networking in that context, it becomes much easier, because generally (as good leaders) we want to have great relationships with others, as that smooths out many challenges and conflicts we might otherwise experience. How will you network this week?
