• Pressure: Idea #416

    Sometimes we try to avoid ‘Pressure. I project my thoughts into the situation that I’m going to be in later so that I’m prepared. Then nothing surprises me because I’ve been there before in my mind. That’s the only way to handle pressure.’ (G.Foster) Isn’t this a clever way to manage the pressure we can’t escape and have to deal with? Additionally, we can know that ‘Success is to wake up each morning and consciously decide that today will be the best day of your life.’ (K.Poirot) So no matter what comes our way, our choices determine the outcome – and that’s how we grow and develop.

  • Direction: Idea #415

    Have you ever stopped to think about the direction in life your path is taking you? ‘The path to success is having good direction in your life. Just because you are moving doesn’t mean you are moving the right direction. Once we identify what is important in our life, and establish our goals, we can determine the direction we should go … One step at a time. What is important in your life? Are you heading in the right direction?’ (J.Maxwell) Sometimes in life we need to stop, review, and adjust the heading of our path, as circumstances may have changed, we may have learned new truths, and so to continue growing we also need to shift the direction of our path.

  • Capable: Idea #414

    Do you want to be the person that your leaders come to asking for help, because they know you can do what is needed? If so, we need to continually develop our capability. ‘As leaders, we want to surround ourselves with capable people. We also want to be capable leaders ourselves. Capable people rise to the occasion even when taking on a new task. Do people think of you as capable? Let’s be capable leaders today.’ (J.Maxwell) To grow as a capable person, we need to step outside of our comfort zone and be willing to learn new things. Let’s go!
