• Little: Idea #457

If you’re feeling like you aren’t making big progress in your personal development, here’s a couple of thoughts to consider. ‘For the great doesn’t happen through impulse alone, and is a succession of little things that are brought together.’ (V.V.Gogh) A tiny reminder that making small improvements consistently will deliver huge results. And remember, ‘Far and away the best prize that life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.’ (T.Roosevelt) There’s no gain without a bit of pain, and the outcome is worth the effort.

  • Quitting: Idea #456

It’s important that we have faith in ourselves, and what we can learn and grow in. ‘When we believe things are possible, we are lifted up and stay in the game. It encourages us and keeps us from quitting. The key to creativity is believing there is always an answer. This possibility of finding an answer, and then a better answer, lifts us to the next level of success.’ (J.Maxwell) How will you keep finding better and better answers to the challenges you encounter along the way? I believe you CAN do that, so I challenge you to show me how you are not quitting.

  • Positive: Idea #455

In a previous post I talked about the need to work with others, and it’s not just because you need help, you also need encouragement. ‘Make a conscious effort to surround yourself with positive, nourishing and uplifting people; people who believe in you, encourage you to go after your dreams, and applaud your victories.’ (J.Canfield) When you work with and spend time with those people that are positive and encouraging, you will be able to achieve much more than you think you’re capable of doing.
