• Failure: Idea #232

So, you’ve been trying out “failures” to find your successful actions. Be careful, ‘Don’t stumble over something behind you. Don’t use the past as an excuse to miss out on today. You do not heal the wounds of the past by digging deeper into them. Acceptance truly is the bitter pill you have to bravely swallow to move beyond yesterday’s sorrows. It’s a choice you must make. Because the truth of the matter is that history only dictates the future if you allow it. In other words, you only have to relive it if you choose to.’ (S.Chapman) Join me today in acknowledging, accepting, learning, and changing – then moving on to success.

  • Mistakes: Idea #231

Sometimes when I think about daily growth and improvement I want to hide, because I see that I haven’t been as successful as I wanted to be. I’m trying to learn that ‘The greatest mistake we make is living in constant fear that we will make one’ (J.Maxwell) For some reason, most people, including myself, don’t really enjoy mistakes – but that’s how we learn. ‘An inventor fails 999 times, and if he succeeds once, he’s in. He treats his failures simply as practice shots.’ (C.F.Kettering) How many mistakes or failures will you “try” today, to find the one thing that brings you success?

  • Dreams: Idea #230

Dreams about our future – I’ve had (and have) my share of them. So what keeps them from becoming a reality? One hindrance is fear. ‘Don’t be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart.’ (R.T.Bennett) Another hindrance is procrastination. ‘Life is too short to waste. Dreams are fulfilled only through action, not through endless planning to take action.‘ (D.J.Schwartz) I know I like to think about my dreams, maybe even do some planning, but it’s much harder to take action. Will you join me today in taking one action to accomplish your dream?
