• Mindset: Idea #381

A positive point of view is needed if you want to grow and develop as a person and as a leader. ‘When I go into a situation, I try to keep a mindset of baseline optimism.
    – When starting the day: It’s going to be a good day.
    – When meeting someone new: I’m going to like them.
    – When trying something challenging: It’s going to work out.
Problems will inevitably arise and I’ll deal with them as the situation demands, but my preference is to assume I’m on a winning path until proven otherwise.’ (J.Clear) Let’s approach our day knowing we’re on a winning path!

  • Authentic: Idea #380

‘Being authentic doesn’t guarantee success, but if you lack authenticity it does guarantee failure. Authentic leaders – those who are real, honest, vulnerable, and open – foster confidence, and a sense of security and safety in those they lead. This is because others know that they understand who they are and are comfortable in their own skin. Authenticity is being the very best person you can be, while also being yourself.’ (J.Maxwell) Being authentic is one of my everyday goals, what about you?

  • Self-discipline: Idea #379

Do you want to know the secret to success? ‘The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will.’ (V.Lombardi) In other words, it’s a decision you make. ‘Discipline is the ability to give yourself a command and follow it.’ (B.Proctor) So it looks like success involves discipline, self-discipline, and that’s never as easy as it sounds. Remember, even small improvements are important, because ‘What you do today can improve all your tomorrows.’ (R.Marston) What will you choose today to grow and improve?
