• Strategy: Idea #244

‘Discovering an opportunity can be very satisfying. Once you find an opportunity and seize the moment, your life begins to expand and open up with possibilities that you never imagined. Find, chase, and maximize opportunities and gain returns.’ (J.Maxwell) Another way of looking at this is to ask the question: ‘What do you want to achieve or avoid? The answers to this question are objectives. How will you go about achieving your desired results? The answer to this you can call strategy.’ (W.Rothschild) Do you have a strategy today that will help you take advantage of the opportunities coming your way?

  • Anxiety: Idea #243

‘How High Achievers Overcome Their Anxiety…Make the anxiety an ally. Ask yourself probing questions like “What exactly is worrying me?”…Practice self-compassion. Approach yourself more positively by replacing self-judgment with self-kindness….See the humor. Will your typo actually cause you to get fired?…Try meditation. Magic happens when you take some time to pause and reset….Say no to the negative thought. When you notice an anxious thought creeping in, interrupt it by saying “No”.’ (HBR) Join me in banishing anxiety from life.

  • Curiosity: Idea #242

There’s the saying that “curiosity killed the cat”, however I think it’s more likely that curiosity changed the cat into a tiger. How curious are you? ‘Replace your judgment with curiosity, and become more open and collaborative. When we avoid judgment and instead gain a sense of curiosity, we can relax, understanding that we all come from different backgrounds with different experiences. We all show up with a different point of view. If you want to respect and lead people well, choose curiosity over judgment.’ (J.Maxwell) What curious path will you follow today?
