• Effective: Idea #461

We all like to be ‘Winners. Many folks focus on what they are doing wrong, but the winners figure out what they are doing right.’ (B.Jett) Do you know what you do well? One aspect of that is knowing that ‘When you do the common things in life in an uncommon way, you will command the attention of the world.’ (G.Carver) And as you draw attention to how well you do the right things, you’ll learn that ‘If you believe in what you’re saying, if you believe in what you’re doing, you’ll be more effective, more passionate, and more authentic in everything you do.’ (S.Goldman) Food for thought, or growth, right there.

  • Gaps: Idea #460

‘Failure can be our friend. We learn from our failures, and we can use what we learn to help people. Instead of trying to impress our audience – which creates a gap – we should work to connect with our audience. When you talk about your mistakes and difficulties, and share how you overcome your challenges, it allows you to help and connect with your audience. We all have problems and we all make mistakes. Sharing these challenges will help you connect to your audience and the people lead. They will respect you for your wins, but they will love you for your failures.’ (J.Maxwell) Will you join me in sharing your challenging situations?

  • Wisdom: Idea #459

If you’re anything like me, all too frequently I need to stop and acknowledge mistakes I’ve made. Then I remind myself that ‘Mistakes are the stepping stones to wisdom. We learn from trial and error; we become wise by understanding problems.’ (L.Brown) Even with that I sometimes feel like I’m learning way too slowly. However, ‘In life, we may not always be victorious. However, with your strong desire to always compete, never give-up mentality, and a positive attitude, you will never truly know defeat!’ (J.Hawks) So join me in not seeing mistakes as defeat, but as a time of growth.
