• Mindfulness: Idea #336

‘Think about your thinking. Be alert and understand that your thinking is leading you somewhere. Mindfulness leads to the questions: Are your thoughts serving you well and leading you where you want to go? Should you discard certain thoughts? When you are mindful, you gain an understanding of how your thoughts help or hurt you. Write down your thoughts, cross through the ones that aren’t helping you, and circle the ones that are helping you. Be more mindful today!’ (J.Maxwell) Now I’m thinking about how I’m thinking…What about you?

  • Sharing: Idea #335

How can you add more value to life and to yourself? ‘As you move through life, set aside good ideas and give them to others to encourage and inspire.’ (P.J.Daniels) I think the answer is to share, to be generous towards others. ‘The greatest good you can do for another is not just share your riches, but to reveal to him his own.’ (B.Disraeli) Sometimes sharing is about helping others discover themselves and their own potential. Remember, ‘Everything that you fought for was not for yourself. It was for those who came after you.’ (C.Boseman) How are you sharing today?

  • Self-talk: Idea #334

What you say when you talk to yourself is more important than you may realize. ‘Effective communication is 20% what you know and 80% how you feel about what you know.’ (J.Rohn) We can choose how we respond to what we know, and this influences what we say to ourselves. ‘Turn off any self-talk that tells you that you are destined to live a small life. You’re not.’ (L.Langemeir) You have great potential, and it’s important you remind yourself of that point. ‘Most people I know engage in self-talk. Why? It’s powerful! Yet, if negative self-talk keeps creeping in, maybe it’s time to change that.’ (M.Blaszczyk) So, what are you saying to yourself? Think about it, and only talk positively.
