• Excellence: Idea #145

‘The word adequate is often paired with average, and people often decide to be adequate in life. So many people settle for adequate, and learn to exist with this state. We were not born and created to be adequate, we were born to be exceptional. Go beyond adequate, it is a better way to live.’ (J.Maxwell) I certainly don’t want to just be average, mediocre and adequate, I want to excel, be a high performer, achieve great things. You can achieve the same – please join me in a life of excellence.

  • Feedback: Idea #144

We’ve all heard about self-awareness and how important it is, however it can be difficult to define and know how to improve it. Here are a couple of tips that may help. ‘1. Ask others for feedback both positively and constructively and simply listen… no interruptions or rebuttals just listen. 2. Journal the good things that you have done in the areas where you have opportunity to improve…3. Create a positive relationship with feedback…4. Schedule time to provide and receive feedback.’ (T.Hagen) I’m becoming more aware of how important it is to just listen!

  • Exeriences: Idea #143

We all have experiences that can help us grow and develop. ‘Think daily to apply what you learn in life. Reflection turns experience into insight. By spending time thinking and reflecting on what you learn and experience, you can extract from that experience and reflect on your personal growth.’ (J.Maxwell) Too often we don’t take enough time to stop, reflect, consider, and think about what has happened and what we’ve learned. Starting today, when will you take a little time to pause and reflect on what you’ve learned this week?
