• Exceptional Results: Idea #142

How about some really practical steps to achieve massive results in your personal development? ‘The 2-step process for exceptional results: (1) Spend a little time each day thinking about the highest leverage activity available to you. (2) Spend a little time each day working on it.’ (J.Clear) What we have here are two connected ideas – thinking about what activity can make the biggest difference for you (think 80/20 rule), and then actually engage in that activity on a regular basis (maybe schedule it in your calendar). What growth area will be huge for you this year?

  • Reading: Idea #141

Do you enjoy reading? I hope so! ‘Read daily so that you can grow in your personal life. We all read each day, but are you growing daily? It all depends on what you read! Read daily in the things that are your strengths—in adding value to people, in success, in being a better person—read in the areas where you are going to grow you, and be sure to read the right thing.’ (J.Maxwell) Even if reading isn’t yet your favorite activity, try to set aside some time each week to read “just a little bit”, you’ll never regret it.

  • Flow State: Idea #140

How would you like to improve your work environment? FLOW! ‘1. Productivity increases by 500% when you’re in the Flow State. 2. Average working environments give employees only 10% of their work time to be in the Flow State. 3. A high-IQ and high-EQ work environment is critical for the Flow State to take central dominance at your organisation. 4. Your work/activities become their own reward.’ (E.Vigo) So what is Flow? Maybe I can add additional posts in the future, however in essence it’s being fully immersed in what you’re doing so that time is meaningless, and the work is effortless. Have you experienced this yet?
