• People: Idea #518

Here are a few things to consider when you think about others in your life. ‘Not everyone will make it to your future. Some people are just passing through to teach you lessons in life.’ (D.Steel) So ask yourself, am I learning life lessons? The other side of the coin is to ‘Be strong enough to stand alone, smart enough to know when you need help, and brave enough to ask for it.’ (Z.Abdelnour) How hard is it to ask for help? Harder than it should be, for me, at least. And finally, recognize that ‘Every person I work with knows something better than me. My job is to listen long enough to find it and use it.’ (J.Nichols) All in all, we need to keep learning from others.

  • Conflicts: Idea #517

No one likes conflicts, however, ‘Conflict Resolution is the art of turning discord into harmony and tension into opportunities, while fostering a culture of collaboration and growth within an organization. Conflict is inevitable and can disrupt productivity, but we don’t need to avoid it … Instead we should address it constructively, which allows us to transform it into an opportunity to learn and grow.’ (J.Maxwell) Join me in improving our conflict resolution skills even though it’s difficult.

  • Forgiveness: Idea #516

This post reflects my personal beliefs, however I think everyone can learn from these principles. It’s important to acknowledge we make mistakes, however, ‘It is just as necessary to forgive ourselves as it is to forgive others, and the principal reason why forgiveness seemed so difficult is because we have neglected to forgive ourselves.’ (C.Larson) Forgiveness might seem an unusual topic for growth and development, but I can assure you it’s a part of growing. When we practice forgiveness, we are saying ‘Today I have made up my mind to leave doubts and fear behind because they are too hard to live with. I am going to live an inspired, faith filled, victorious life which goes above and beyond my past.’ (J.Sykes) No one is tied to their past, we all can change for the better.
